Amazing Spider-Man: Blood Hunt #1, released on May 15, 2024, is the first issue of a three-part tie-in miniseries to Marvel's massive Blood Hunt crossover event. The story follows Peter Parker as he navigates a New York City plunged into eternal darkness and overrun by vampires. 

Plot Summary

The issue begins with Spider-Man defending citizens against the vampire horde. 

• Unlikely Team-Up: Spidey is ambushed by his longtime nemesis, The Lizard (Dr. Curt Connors), who is surprisingly working alongside Misty Knight.
• The Mission: Misty recruits Spider-Man to help rescue her partner Colleen Wing and Morbius, the Living Vampire, who have been kidnapped by a mysterious faction.
• Searching for a Cure: Morbius was reportedly developing a cure for the vampire outbreak before being taken. The investigation leads the trio to hidden labs and a church where Spider-Man even gets his web-shooters blessed with holy water to fight the undead.
• Conflict of Morals: A central theme is Peter's struggle with how to handle the vampires, as he views them as innocent people who have been transformed and seeks to save them rather than kill them.
