Aquaman # 1 Walker Deep Sea Spot Foil Variant 2025 BN

Aquaman # 1, released on January 8, 2025, launched a new ongoing series for the character as part of DC's "All In" initiative. This issue features Arthur Curry with new, evolved hydrokinetic powers, as he battles kaiju and embarks on a quest when his entire kingdom mysteriously disappears. 

Story Synopsis: "The Rising Tide" 

In the wake of the Absolute Power event, Aquaman has gained his wife Mera's water-warping abilities in addition to his own strengths, and has reclaimed the throne of Atlantis. 

• New Powers and Pressures: Arthur struggles to balance his kingly duties with his desire for action, and also to master his powerful new abilities.
• The Kaiju Crisis: A giant, water-construct kaiju attacks the surface world in Daytona Beach. Aquaman defeats it using his hydrokinesis, but there is no clue as to its origin.
• Atlantis Disappears: Upon returning, Aquaman finds his entire kingdom, including Mera and their daughter, gone. Only a mysterious, glowing magical pearl remains.
• A Dark Secret: With the help of Batman and Wonder Woman, Aquaman traces the pearl's energy to an ancient archway in the ocean. When he places the pearl in the arch, it opens a portal. Aquaman swims through, and as the portal closes, Batman and Wonder Woman see the symbol of the New God Darkseid revealed on the arch, indicating a connection to Apokolips.
