Story & Plot Overview

Following in the pitch-black footsteps of Afterlife with Archie, the series starts with a familiar teenage veneer before taking a sharp turn into graphic, supernatural horror.

• The Typical Day: The story begins deceptively normally, with Archie Andrews handling a local food drive, managing his broken-down car, and disastrously scheduling back-to-back dates with Betty Cooper and Veronica Lodge.
• The Cult's Target: Unbeknownst to Archie, an ancient order of occultists has secretly infiltrated Riverdale. They have spent a century planning a human sacrifice to summon a demonic lord into the mortal plane, and they have chosen the town’s golden boy, Archie, as their final lamb.
• Witches vs. Cultists: The cabal's plans run directly into Riverdale’s hidden coven of real witches, led by Sabrina Spellman.
• The Cosmic Damn: When the cult’s sacrifice ritual violently clashes with Sabrina's protective magic, the results are catastrophic. To save his physical life, Sabrina is forced to damn him. Archie's soul is torn away—leaving him unstuck from time and space, bound by a terrible curse, and condemned to something far worse than Hell's inner circle.
