Armor Wars # 1 2015 NM

Armor Wars # 1 June 2015 (Vol. 2) is a tie-in to the Secret Wars event. Written by James Robinson and illustrated by Marcio Takara, it reimagines the classic Iron Man storyline within the high-tech domain of Technopolis on Battleworld. 

The Armored Utopia

The story is set in Technopolis, a futuristic super-city where a mysterious and lethal airborne virus forces everyone to wear advanced armor just to survive and breathe. 

• The Governance: The domain is ruled by Baron Tony Stark, with his brother Arno Stark serving as a bitter business and political rival. James Rhodes (War Machine) serves as the "Thor" of this region—a Grand Marshal and law enforcer.
• The Murder Mystery: The primary conflict begins when Peter Urich (the Technopolis version of Spider-Man) is murdered after discovering a "dark secret" regarding the origin of the city's plague.
• The Investigation: Baron Tony Stark and Grand Marshal Rhodes must solve the mystery of Peter’s death while navigating a looming civil war between the Stark brothers and corporate rival Wilson Fisk. 

• Baron Tony Stark: The ruler of Technopolis who maintains order while battling his brother’s influence.
• Arno Stark: Tony’s rival brother who secretly plots to seize control of the city.
• James Rhodes: The "Grand Marshal Thor" who acts as the primary investigator.
• Kiri Oshiro: A young genius and business owner whose company is a target for the Starks.
• Lila Rhodes: Rhodes' niece and a brilliant mechanic who eventually plays a pivotal role in the series. 

• Series Length: A 5-issue limited series under the Secret Wars: Warzones! banner.
• Major Revelation: Later issues reveal that Howard Stark intentionally released the virus to ensure his family’s armor technology remained a permanent, life-saving necessity.
