Batman of Two Worlds #1 is an upcoming one-shot comic book releasing exclusively on Batman Day (September 19, 2026). Serving as the headline centerpiece for DC's global event, this special issue acts as a conceptual crossover bridging the mainstream DC Universe and the newly launched Absolute Universe. The first collaborative cover appearance of Batman and Absolute Batman.  

The Core Concept: "Two Stories, One Crime"

Instead of a traditional, reality-bending multiverse team-up where characters physically meet, the two versions of the Dark Knight remain in their respective realities. They are confronted by the exact same mystery and theft across different dimensions.

The book is split into two distinct chapters to contrast how different circumstances change the hero:

• The Mainstream Story: Written by Matt Fraction with art by Javi Fernández. It follows the traditional, billionaire Bruce Wayne utilizing his vast resources, corporate tech, and established moral structures to track the case.
• The Absolute Story: Written by Scott Snyder with art by Nick Derington. It focuses on the Absolute version of Bruce Wayne—a working-class, brick-heavy powerhouse who relies on raw ingenuity, an altered moral outlook, and a radically different "toolbox" to solve the crime.
