is the premiere issue of a new 12-issue monthly sequel miniseries debuting on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Releasing through DC Comics, the series reunites the Eisner award-winning creative team of writer Mark Waid and artist Chris Samnee following their highly successful run on the initial Batman & Robin: Year One series. The book continues to flesh out the foundational, early crime-fighting days of Bruce Wayne and his young sidekick and ward, Dick Grayson. 

Plot and Narrative Focus

• The Main Mystery: The story kicks off with a tighter, more synchronized Caped Crusader and Boy Wonder cleaning up Gotham City. They hit a massive snag when a rogue gang of highly organized street kids starts wreaking havoc across town, forcing the heroes to track down the mastermind pulling the strings. 
• The Catwoman Rift: Unlike the first series which focused on Bruce and Dick learning to coexist, Waid has noted that Dynamic Duos focuses heavily on how Catwoman divides the partnership. A young, naive Robin cannot comprehend why Batman handles the cat burglar with gloves, while Selina Kyle views the pesky sidekick as a major hurdle to her next big score.
• New Faces: The storyline introduces a completely brand-new character who might potentially become a sidekick to Catwoman.
