Cage # 1 1992 VF+

Cage # 1 (1992) launched a new ongoing solo series for Luke Cage, moving him to Chicago and modernizing his look by removing his classic 1970s yellow shirt and tiara. 

• Release Date: Published in April 1992 by Marvel Comics.
• Creative Team: Written by Marc McLaurin with pencils by Dwayne Turner and inks by Chris Ivy.
• Plot Summary: Titled "The Drowning Man," the story follows Luke Cage as he is hired by a Chicago newspaper to be their resident superhero. The arrangement allows the paper to get exclusive stories while Cage gets paid to fight crime.
• Notable Introductions: The issue marks the First Appearance of the Villain Hardcore, as well as Mickey Hamilton and Analisa Medina. Other characters appearing include Jeryn Hogarth and Dakota North.
