Clayface: Celebrity Dirt #2 is the second issue of a six-part DC Comics limited horror series written by Jude Ellison S. Doyle with artwork by Fran Galán, released on August 12, 2026. Part of DC’s All In initiative, the series blends classic Hollywood glamour with graphic body horror.
Story & Plot Overview
Following his escape from Arkham, the original Clayface (Basil Karlo) has made it to Los Angeles to reclaim his life from a charismatic impostor who has stolen his name, likeness, and fame to become a massive movie star.
- The Infiltration: To lay low and plot his revenge, Basil uses his shape-shifting powers to pose as "Bob Parker," an elderly man living in a modest apartment complex. To track down his double, he infiltrates the Worldwide International Studios lot by sneaking through forgotten underground tunnels and disguising himself as a production assistant.
- The Hollywood Nightmare: As Basil gets closer to the fake "Basil Karlo" on set, he discovers that his doppelgänger has incredibly dark, horrific secrets.
- The L.A. Outbreak: Simultaneously, a bizarre new designer wellness supplement called "Renew" is spreading across Los Angeles, causing ordinary citizens and video bloggers to undergo grotesque, clay-warped body transformations.
