Convergence #2 (2015) is the second issue of the main miniseries, focusing on the actions of the displaced Earth-2 heroes as they begin to explore the sentient planet Telos and search for a way to stop the "battle royale."

Story Synopsis

The issue, titled "The Question," shifts focus away from the initial chaos and into the investigation phase of the event.

  • Earth-2 Heroes on the Move: The primary narrative follows the Earth-2 survivors, including Dick Grayson (still just Dick Grayson at this point, not yet Batman), Alan Scott (Green Lantern), Jay Garrick (Flash), and the new Val-Zod (Superman). They reject Telos' premise of fighting other cities and decide to find a way to save everyone.
  • A Familiar Face: Dick Grayson is captured by the inhabitants of a nearby city: the Pre-Crisis Charlton Comics universe's heroes (Blue Beetle, Captain Atom, The Question, etc.). They believe he is a spy from an opposing city.
  • The Oracle: Inside the Charlton city, Dick meets the Question (Vic Sage) and the character who will later become known as "The Oracle." These characters, who have spent a year without powers using detective skills to figure out their situation, have discovered the true nature of the planet and the domes. They reveal that there are many more cities than initially thought and a deep conspiracy is at play.
  • The Telos Entity: The issue introduces more about the character of Telos, the sentient planet-turned-humanoid. The Earth-2 heroes realize that Telos isn't just a servant of Brainiac but a complex entity with his own motivations and potentially a past life he can't remember.
  • The Next Battle: The issue ends as the heroes plan their next move, deciding to search for the "real" Brainiac at the planet's core, believing he holds the key to stopping the multiversal war.
