Convergence: Speed Force #1 (2015) is a two-part miniseries that brings back the pre-Flashpoint version of Wally West and his family during DC's Convergence event. The issue is written by Tony Bedard with art by Tom Grummett.
Plot Synopsis
The story follows Wally West and his superpowered twins, Jai and Iris, who are trapped in a version of Gotham City that has been "bottled" by Brainiac.
- The Dome: For an entire year, Gotham has been sealed under an impenetrable dome that has neutralized all superpowers. Wally has spent this time obsessively trying to break the dome with a pick-axe, feeling immense guilt for bringing his children to Gotham right before it was taken.
- The Tournament: The living planet Telos suddenly drops the dome and announces a tournament where cities from different timelines must battle for survival.
- A Multiversal Run: Once their powers return, Wally and the twins speed across the surface of Telos to find a way home. Along the way, they witness the destruction of other cities, such as the Wild West-themed Justice Riders' version of El Inferno.
- Unexpected Allies and Enemies: They encounter Fastback, a speedster turtle from the Zoo Crew (Earth-C), who wants to team up to fight Telos. However, their meeting is interrupted by the arrival of the brutal Flashpoint Wonder Woman and her Amazon army, who are ready to fight to the death.
