Convergence: Superboy # 1 2015 NM-

Convergence: Superboy #1 (2015) is a tie-in issue that brings back the popular Kon-El Superboy from the Pre-Flashpoint continuity, setting him against the dark and gritty heroes of the Kingdom Come universe. 

Story Synopsis

The issue, titled "Konvergence," is set in the domed city of Metropolis from the Pre-Flashpoint continuity.

• Life Under the Dome: For the past year, Kon-El (Superboy) has been trapped without his powers, working at a construction site with the Metropolis Special Crimes Unit officers his "father" Cadmus Labs worked with. The doming was particularly hard on him, as he had just started reconnecting with his mother, Lois Lane, and was building a life for himself.
• Powers Restored: When the dome falls, Kon-El’s powers, appearance (he reverts to his classic leather jacket and t-shirt look), and connection to the tactile telekinesis that defines his abilities all return.
• The Kingdom Come Invasion: The city is immediately invaded by the champions of the Kingdom Come universe: Wonder Woman, Hawkman, and the armored Batman. These older, more jaded heroes view the Pre-Flashpoint Metropolis citizens as a "weaker" and "inferior" world that must be purged according to Telos' rules.
• The Battle: Superboy immediately jumps into action to defend his home. He is quickly overwhelmed by the tactical superiority and brutal methods of the Kingdom Come team. Hawkman, in particular, proves to be a brutal fighter, severely injuring Superboy.
• Cliffhanger: The issue ends with Superboy beaten and bleeding on the streets of Metropolis, seemingly at the mercy of the Kingdom Come heroes.
