Convergence: Swamp Thing # 1 2015 VF/NM

Convergence: Swamp Thing #1 (2015) is the first issue of a two-part tie-in series to the main Convergence event, focusing on the Pre-Crisis Swamp Thing and pitting him against a terrifying, supernatural version of Batman.

Story Summary

The issue is titled "Grounded" and is set in the Pre-Crisis Earth-One Gotham City, which has been trapped under a dome for a year by Brainiac. 

• A Year Without The Green: Under the dome, Swamp Thing's connection to the Earth's "Green" is severed, leaving him weak, dormant, and unable to maintain his form. He exists only as a seemingly lifeless pile of vegetation in Robinson Park, tended to by his love interest, Abigail Arcane.
• The Dome Falls: When the dome is finally lifted, the powers of all inhabitants are restored. Swamp Thing's powers immediately return, and he reconstitutes himself, aware that a battle is imminent.
• A Horrific Opponent: The opposing city in this "battle royale" is revealed to be a Gotham from the Elseworlds story Batman & Dracula: Red Rain (part of a vampire trilogy). This city is populated entirely by vampires.
• The Cliffhanger: The issue ends as the Pre-Crisis Swamp Thing and Abigail face a massive horde of vampires led by the champion of the opposing city: a monstrous, cape-like creature revealed to be the vampire Batman from that timeline.
