Daredevil: End of Days # 1 2012 VF/NM

Daredevil: End of Days # 1 published by Marvel Comics in October 2012, is the first of an eight-part "prestige" miniseries that serves as the definitive "final story" for Matt Murdock. Set in a gritty future, it explores the death of the Man Without Fear and the legacy he leaves behind.

• Main Plot: The story begins with a brutal, public battle in Hell's Kitchen where Bullseye kills Daredevil. Before dying, Matt Murdock whispers a single enigmatic word: "Mapone." Disillusioned investigative reporter Ben Urich takes on one final assignment for the dying Daily Bugle to uncover the meaning of that word and reveal Matt's final secret.
• Key Themes: The issue is notable for its dark, "film noir" atmosphere and for depicting a shocking flashback where Matt Murdock breaks his cardinal rule by killing the Kingpin (Wilson Fisk) in a public brawl.
