DC K.O.: Knightfight #4, released on February 4, 2026, serves as the final chapter of the Knightfight miniseries, focusing on Batman's psychological and physical trials within a simulation created by the Heart of Apokolips.
First Full Appearance: Alfred Wayne (Robin)
The primary first appearance in this issue is an elseworlds version of Bruce Wayne's grandson, named in honor of the family's loyal butler, Alfred Pennyworth.
- Character Identity: He is a young boy, about six years old, and is the son of that reality's Batman, Damian Wayne.
- Role: In the peaceful, utopian Gotham City that Damian created, Alfred Wayne serves as his father's Robin.
- Significance: The reveal is a heartwarming moment for Bruce, offering a glimpse into a potential, happy future for his family line, a rare occurrence in Batman comics. His role is short-lived within the narrative of the DC K.O. event, as it takes place in a simulated reality, but it marks his debut as a character.
Other Appearances
The issue also prominently features new designs and alternate reality versions of existing characters:
- Old Man Bruce Wayne: Bruce Wayne himself appears as an older man with a gray beard and white temples, having taken on a quieter life in this utopian future. He is branded the "Old Knight" by Damian.
- Damian Wayne as Batman: A grown-up, successful Damian Wayne is the Batman of this future, having achieved peace for Gotham City.
-
Jason Todd's Daughter: While not explicitly named, the issue heavily implies the first appearance of Jason Todd's daughter with Rose Wilson (Deathstroke's daughter), a small girl with white hair.
Story Summary: "The Final Test"
- A Peaceful Gotham: Bruce Wayne finds himself in an alternate future where Gotham City is safe, vibrant, and no longer needs a Batman. In this world, Damian Wayne has succeeded his father as Batman and successfully eradicated crime.
- Grandpa Bruce: Bruce experiences a rare "happy ending" as an older grandfather, spending time with his six-year-old grandson, Alfred Wayne, who is revealed to be the new Robin in this reality.
- The Conflict: To return to the main King Omega tournament and save his own universe, Bruce is told he must fight and defeat Damian. The Heart of Apokolips tests whether Bruce can "admit defeat" or if he will destroy his son's utopia to satisfy his own mission.
- The Resolution: Instead of killing Damian as the Heart whispers for him to do, Bruce lays down his guard and lets Damian win. The Heart reveals the true test was to see if he could ever admit defeat. Having passed, Bruce is granted re-entry into the tournament, leaping into a fiery portal to continue the fight in the main DC K.O. #4 issue.
