Story Summary: "The Final Test" 

• A Peaceful Gotham: Bruce Wayne finds himself in an alternate future where Gotham City is safe, vibrant, and no longer needs a Batman. In this world, Damian Wayne has succeeded his father as Batman and successfully eradicated crime.
• Grandpa Bruce: Bruce experiences a rare "happy ending" as an older grandfather, spending time with his six-year-old grandson, Alfred Wayne, who is revealed to be the new Robin in this reality.
• The Conflict: To return to the main King Omega tournament and save his own universe, Bruce is told he must fight and defeat Damian. The Heart of Apokolips tests whether Bruce can "admit defeat" or if he will destroy his son's utopia to satisfy his own mission.
• The Resolution: Instead of killing Damian as the Heart whispers for him to do, Bruce lays down his guard and lets Damian win. The Heart reveals the true test was to see if he could ever admit defeat. Having passed, Bruce is granted re-entry into the tournament, leaping into a fiery portal to continue the fight in the main DC K.O. #4 issue.
