DC Universe: Trinity #1 (1993) is the opening chapter of an eight-part cosmic crossover event published by DC Comics in August 1993. This 52-page special, featuring a distinctive foil cover, unites the primary space-faring law enforcement agencies of the DC Universe to battle an ancient threat known as the Triarch. 

Plot and Storyline

The issue, titled "Trinity, Part 1," sets the stage for a massive intergalactic conflict over jurisdictional authority in space. 

• The Threat of the Triarch: Three ancient, seemingly omnipotent deities—Archor, Quarra, and Tzodar—return after a billion years to "cleanse" and remake the universe.
• Divided Heroes: The story follows three different perspectives as the gods attack separate planets:
• Green Lantern (Hal Jordan): Investigates a disturbance on the planet Scylla, where he is defeated by Quarra the Creator.
• The Darkstars: A squad led by Ferrin Colos battles a giant on Elyrion, suffering heavy casualties.
• L.E.G.I.O.N. '93: Vril Dox and his team encounter Tzodar the Destroyer on the planet Maltus.
• The Guardians' Fear: When Hal Jordan reports back to Oa, the Guardians react with visible horror, revealing that the return of the Triarch is a prophecy that could end all Maltusian races.
