Plot Summary: "The Courage That Kills" Finale 

The issue concludes the battle against the new villain Leo Kingsford, also known as The Lion, who infected Gotham with a "Courage" virus that biologically removes the ability to feel fear. 

• The Counter-Attack: To regain his tactical clarity, Batman takes a massive risk by dosing himself with a modified version of Scarecrow's fear toxin.
• Citywide Resolution: With the help of Mister Terrific, Batman disperses the fear toxin citywide to stop a fearless mob from being slaughtered by a brutal police force led by Vandal Savage.
• The Cure: After defeating The Lion, Bruce Wayne discovers a "gift" from Leo—a bottle of fine alcohol containing the actual cure to the Courage virus, which Bruce uses to save the city.
• The Shared Bond: The story ends with Bruce visiting Leo in Arkham Towers, where it's revealed that Leo idolized Bruce Wayne as a child due to their shared experience of childhood trauma.
