Detective Comics #1114 is a critical chapter in DC Comics' line-wide "Batman: Bad Seeds" crossover event. Released on October 21, 2026, the issue forces an urgent alliance between the Dark Knight and one of his coldest adversaries. 

Plot Summary

Picking up directly after the events of Batman #14, Gotham City is on the verge of total destruction. Poison Ivy's rapidly mutating prehistoric plant life is poised to completely overrun the city at sunrise. With less than twenty minutes left before dawn triggers a catastrophic full bloom, Batman has run completely out of conventional options.

His final hope rests on an artificial winter. Batman tracks down Mr. Freeze (Victor Fries) to use his cryogenic technology to freeze the city and halt the overgrowth. However, Batman arrives to find Victor held at gunpoint by his estranged, recently revived wife, Nora Fries ("Mrs. Freeze"). To save Gotham, Batman must step into the role of a marriage counselor to defuse their domestic dispute, forge a tenuous alliance, and escort the bickering couple across the city to a secret lab while holding off giant tree monsters.
