Devil's Reign: Spider-Man # 1 2022 NM-

Devil's Reign: Spider-Man #1 released in March 2022, is the first part of a three-issue tie-in miniseries to the larger Devil's Reign Marvel event. While Peter Parker is hospitalized, his clone Ben Reilly has taken up the mantle of Spider-Man under the sponsorship of the Beyond Corporation. 

Core Storyline: "Friends at Last"

The issue follows Ben Reilly as he navigates Mayor Wilson Fisk’s citywide ban on costumed vigilantes. 

• The Conflict: After being rescued from police custody by the Thing and the Human Torch, Ben is immediately targeted by a group of criminals posing as Fisk’s "Thunderbolts" agents.
• The Villain: The primary antagonist is Richard Fisk (known as The Rose), Wilson Fisk's son, who aims to outshine his father’s legacy by capturing Spider-Man.
• The Trap: The Rose kidnaps Ben's Beyond Corporation handler, Marcus Momplaisir, and dresses him in a Spider-Man costume to use as bait. Ben must intervene while still recovering from previous injuries sustained from fighting Taskmaster and Whiplash.
