Green Lantern: Civil Corps Special #1 (2024) is a double-sized one-shot released on October 9, 2024, as part of the "DC All In" initiative. It serves as a major crossover event that merges the storylines from the ongoing Green Lantern series and the Green Lantern: War Journal series to reset the status quo for the entire Corps. 

Plot and Key Events

The story centers on the Earth Lanterns' desperate plan to expose Lord Premier Thaaros and the United Planets as a corrupt force of evil. 

• The Infiltration: While Hal Jordan, John Stewart, and Carol Ferris attempt to warn the Rannian and Thanagarian councils about Thaaros' agenda, Guy Gardner and Caolán Shepherd infiltrate the Sciencecells on Oa.
• Chaos on Oa: To create a distraction, Guy releases Larfleeze, the Orange Lantern, from his cell, leading to a massive conflict with Oa's guards.
• The Fate of Thaaros: After being driven mad by the Darkstar ring, Thaaros is seemingly killed by the monster Starshroud (Varron), though he survives long enough to summon a possessed, rage-filled Mogo to destroy his enemies.
• Major Revelations: The issue reveals that Kilowog is alive but currently possessed by a yellow ring, and introduces Jadestone as the new guardian of Earth's Central Power Battery.
