Justice League Unlimited # 1 2024 NM

Justice League Unlimited #1, published by DC Comics on November 27, 2024 (despite a 2025 cover date), kicks off a new era for the team following the Absolute Power event. Written by Mark Waid with art by Dan Mora, the story sees the League expand its roster to face a new global threat, with a hidden traitor in their midst. 

Storyline Overview

The issue establishes a massive power vacuum in the DC Universe following the death of Darkseid. Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman realize they need a larger, more comprehensive team to handle the ensuing chaos and threats that require multiple heroes. 

• Global Threats: The League dispatches multiple teams for simultaneous missions. A core team, including Superman and Wonder Woman, stops destructive "War Wheels" in an African mining village, while Batman and Blue Beetle investigate a case of missing children in Costa Rica.
• The New Villain: The global disasters are the work of a new, shadowy organization called Inferno, which aims to take over the Earth.
• A Hidden Traitor: The issue's twist ending reveals that a new team member, Air Wave, has infiltrated the League with the intention of destroying it from within, adding an element of internal tension to the new, expanded team.
• Bonus Content: The comic also includes an exclusive four-page prelude to the highly anticipated "Hush 2" storyline by the original creative team of Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee.
