Marvel Rivals # 1 2025 NM-

Marvel Rivals #1 (2025) is a special print one-shot comic that ties directly into the Marvel Rivals video game and collects the first six issues of the digital Marvel Rivals Infinity Comic series. The story is written by Paul Allor with art by Luca Claretti. 

Plot Synopsis

The comic's narrative is set in a fractured Tokyo 2099 where a time rift has disrupted the Web of Life and Destiny, a cosmic force connecting all realities. The story is narrated by Galacta, the daughter of Galactus, who oversees the conflict. 

Heroes are divided into two factions that battle each other over the best method to repair the Web: 

• Peni Parker's Group: This team, often led by Peni in her SP//dr mech suit, argues for a technological solution, believing the Web should be plugged into Cyberspace to augment its function with a "prosthetic boost".
• Spider-Man's Group: This team, led by the main Spider-Man (Peter Parker), favors a more conservative, natural approach, using a substance called Chronovium to strengthen the Web and allow it to heal itself. 

The two teams race to the Stark-Fujikawa building to implement their solutions, leading to clashes where old alliances are severed and new, unexpected ones are formed. The story is known for its fast-paced action and visual style that mirrors the game's aesthetic. In the end, the teams find a solution that combines both theories to restore the Web.

Every physical copy of the comic issue includes a redeemable code for a special Jeff the Land Shark "Unlimited Appetite" spray to use in the Marvel Rivals video game.
