Midnighter # 1 June 3, 2015, (Volume 2) launched a critically acclaimed 12-issue solo series as part of the "DC You" initiative. Written by Steve Orlando and illustrated by ACO, the series is noted for being the first ongoing solo title from a major publisher to star a gay male protagonist.
