Shadow War Zone # 1 2022 VF+

Shadow War Zone # 1, released on May 17, 2022, is a 48-page anthology one-shot that ties into the DC Comics crossover event Shadow War. It explores the global impact of the conflict between Talia al Ghul’s League of Assassins and Deathstroke Inc. following the assassination of Ra’s al Ghul. 

The issue contains four main stories highlighting how different characters are drawn into the war: 

• "Old Friends": Black Canary faces off against the new villain Angel Breaker, who is hunting anyone previously associated with Deathstroke.

• "Inner Demon": A reflective story focusing on a young Talia al Ghul, providing backstory on her family legacy and her first meeting with her grandmother, Mother Soul.
• Creators: Written by Nadia Shammas; Art by Sweeney Boo.
• "Panic Room": Ghost-Maker puts Clownhunter through a "final exam" by forcing him to protect Black Spider from a League of Assassins assault. This story leads directly into the return of Batman Incorporated.

• "Ninjas! At the Arcade": Harley Quinn uses an amusement arcade as a battlefield to fight off ninjas. It features a cliffhanger where Luke Fox (Batwing) evaluates Harley for a mysterious new team.
