Core Plot & Synopsis

The story begins with Norrin Radd, the Sentinel of the Spaceways, flying alongside Genis-Vell, the son of the legendary Kree hero Mar-Vell. Together, they rescue a Kree starship from being torn apart by a black hole. Afterward, Genis-Vell emotionally asks the Surfer what his father was really like, as Mar-Vell had died of cancer long ago.

Suddenly, reality abruptly fractures around them. The baseline of existence shifts dramatically, and Captain Mar-Vell is suddenly alive again.

The Surfer realizes someone has stolen the Reality Gem (one of the Infinity Stones), weaponizing its power to distort time and space by fulfilling dangerous wishes. As the universe begins to unravel, the distortion catches the immediate attention of the Mad Titan, Thanos. Because the shifting reality threatens everything, the Silver Surfer is forced to do the unthinkable: forge an uneasy alliance with his bitter enemy, Thanos, to track down the reality thief and restore the timeline.
