Plot Summary: "Paterfamilias"

The story is set shortly after the Season 2 episode "Duplicity" (the episode where Pete Ross learns Clark’s secret).

  • The Threat: In 1989, a boy named Kenny Cavanaugh lost his father to the meteor shower. In the present day, Kenny has developed a meteor-induced ability to turn invisible.
  • The Conflict: While Clark and Pete are out fishing, Kenny uses his powers to capture Jonathan Kent. Clark must use his abilities to find his father and stop the invisible antagonist.

Issue Features

Like its predecessor, this issue was a "48-page giant" that included supplemental fan material:

  • Exclusive Content: An in-depth interview with Tom Welling and a behind-the-scenes look at the series' set.
  • Episode Guide: The first installment of a continuing guide for Season 1.
  • Cover Art: The issue features a painted cover by John Van Fleet.
