Space Ghost / Jonny Quest: Space Quest # 1, published by Dynamite Entertainment in May 2025 (after initial solicitations in March 2025), is a crossover comic uniting characters from the classic Hanna-Barbera animated series. Written by Joe Casey and illustrated by Sebastián Piriz, the story features the Quest family investigating a mysterious spacecraft that leads to a confrontation and team-up with the cosmic hero Space Ghost. 

Story Synopsis: "Space Quest"

The comic is a direct continuation of the Jonny Quest storyline by the same creative team. The Quest family is summoned to Area 51 to investigate a recovered spacecraft of mysterious, potentially alien origin. 

• The Investigation: The team, including Jonny, Dr. Benton Quest, Race Bannon, Hadji, and Bandit, begins examining the craft, which the military has largely stripped for weapons study.
• The Activation: Jonny, Hadji, and Bandit secretly return to the lab at night and use a power amplifier circuit from a previous adventure to activate a mysterious disc found on the ship.
• The Encounter: The activation coincides with an attack by the "Lizard Men" who are after the recovered tech. During the ensuing chaos, Jonny, Hadji, and Bandit are teleported far into the future, where they come face to face with Space Ghost.
• A Separate Mission: Meanwhile, Race Bannon is in Marrakesh tracking down an old flame, the mercenary Jade, who he suspects might be the mother of a woman he met in the future.
