Star Wars # 1 Cover A First Printing 2025 NM

Star Wars #1, published by Marvel Comics on May 7, 2025, is the first issue of a new flagship ongoing series set in the New Republic era. Written by Alex Segura with art by Phil Noto, this relaunch takes place approximately two years after Return of the Jedi (around 6 ABY), following the pivotal Battle of Jakku. 

Plot & Storyline

The series explores the "uncharted era" where the Rebel Alliance transitions into the New Republic while pirates and mercenaries attempt to fill the power vacuum left by the fallen Empire. The debut issue features three interconnected storylines: 

• Luke Skywalker: Must defend the fledgling New Republic against a ruthless gang of mercenaries.
• Han Solo: Investigates a mystery within the galactic underworld and rescues an unexpected ally.
• Leia Organa: Struggles to navigate a new political alliance that opposes the core goals of the New Republic.
