Suicide Squad # 1 The Black Vault 2017 VF/NM

Suicide Squad # 1 (2017) titled "The Black Vault, Part One: I Wanna Be Sedated," launched the DC Rebirth era of the series. It was published on August 17, 2016, written by Rob Williams with pencils by Jim Lee. 

• The Mission: Amanda Waller briefs Task Force X at Belle Reve for a high-stakes mission to retrieve a "cosmic item" that fell into enemy hands. The team is deployed from an orbiting drop ship via pods that descend in a "fiery blaze".
• The Black Vault: The target is located in a secret underwater base. The Vault contains a portal to the Phantom Zone, which eventually releases the Kryptonian dictator General Zod in subsequent issues.
• Corruption: The Vault emits dark energy that drives the team toward madness. Only Harley Quinn is uniquely affected in a way that leaves her "sane enough" to potentially save her teammates.

The roster was designed to align with the 2016 film's lineup:

• Leaders: Amanda Waller (Director) and Rick Flag (Field Commander).
• Members: Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Katana, Killer Croc, and Enchantress. 

Backup Feature

The issue includes a "Personnel File" backup story focusing on Deadshot, illustrated by Jason Fabok. It reveals his true past involving a sting operation with Batman to save his daughter, Zoe, which ultimately led to his incarceration.
