The Beauty #1 Cover A First Printing 2025 BN

The Beauty #1 (2025) is the first issue of a brand-new comic book volume from Ignition Press, officially released on October 29, 2025. It relaunches the cult-favorite series by original co-creators Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley, this time featuring art by Emanuela Lupacchino. 

Story Premise 

Set in a society obsessed with physical perfection, the story revolves around a sexually transmitted disease (STD) called "The Beauty". Unlike typical illnesses, those who contract it are physically transformed into the most beautiful versions of themselves—shedding fat, sculpting muscle, and refining facial features overnight. 

The trade-off is a constant, slight fever and, eventually, death. The 2025 series explores new corners of this world through three main perspectives: 

• A thief for hire on a high-stakes, dangerous job.
• A struggling TV weatherman with plummeting ratings who seeks the disease to save his career.
• Special agents investigating "Beauty-related" crimes and mysterious deaths. 

Media Tie-In 

This comic relaunch was timed to coincide with a high-profile television adaptation on FX produced by Ryan Murphy. The TV show features a star-studded cast including Ashton Kutcher, Anthony Ramos, Jeremy Pope, and Bella Hadid.
