The Kingdom: Nightstar # 1, released in February 1999, is a one-shot comic book from DC's The Kingdom series. Written by Mark Waid and illustrated by Matt Haley, the issue explores the life of Nightstar (Mar'i Grayson) in the alternate "Kingdom Come" future.
"Not Go Gently"
The story is set at The Green, a space station formerly known as New Oa that has been converted into an agricultural facility.

The Conflict: The station is attacked by a rampaging villain called the Manotaur, who uses a space shuttle with a wooden ram to breach its defenses. The Manotaur intends to destroy the station to warn the world of an impending end caused by the "Trinity" (Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman) attempting to change the past.
