The New Teen Titans # 33 1983 VF/NM

The New Teen Titans #33, published by DC Comics in July 1983, is a murder mystery titled "Who Killed Trident?". Written by Marv Wolfman and illustrated by George Pérez, the issue follows the team as they investigate the death of a new super-villain without the help of their resident detective, Robin. 

Plot Synopsis

The story begins after a new criminal named Trident is found dead, killed by his own technologically advanced weapon. The Teen Titans recount three separate, confusing encounters with him: 

• Cyborg and Changeling fought him during a robbery.
• Raven and Wonder Girl battled him at the Museum of Natural History.
• Kid Flash and Terra pursued him after a jewelry heist. 

While the team is puzzled by Trident's seemingly simultaneous appearances, Starfire goes to find Robin and discovers that Jason Todd has replaced Dick Grayson as Batman's partner. Upon her return, she helps the team realize there were actually three different men using the Trident identity. Two of the partners killed the third over a loot dispute; the Titans eventually track down and capture the remaining two.
