The Spectacular Spider-Man #157, titled "Shakedown," was published by Marvel Comics in November 1989. Plot Summary

The story follows a series of bizarre "earthquakes" that are specifically targeting bank vaults across the city: 

• Electro's Frustration: Max Dillon (Electro) has paid for blueprints to several banks, only to find that every time he arrives to rob one, a freak earthquake has already "sunk" the vault into the ground.
• The Hidden Rival: Spider-Man catches Electro at one of these sites and assumes he is responsible for the destruction. However, it is eventually revealed that the Shocker has the same list of targets and has been using his vibration powers to beat Electro to the score.
• Ongoing Subplots: While Peter Parker deals with the daily chaos of New York, the issue continues the tense story of Joe "Robbie" Robertson and Tombstone, who are hiding out on a farm together after escaping from prison with help from the Chameleon and Hammerhead.
