Plot Summary

The story centers on Peter and Miles attempting to maintain a "normal" mentor-protege relationship by meeting weekly at the Coffee Bean. However, their downtime is short-lived: 

• The Clone Mystery: Following a chaotic battle with the Jackal in the previous issue, an autopsy on a charred body reveals that the victim's cells have exploded, leading Peter to suspect that cloning experiments are back in play.
• Underground Clash: After noticing a coffee shop regular acting strangely, the duo tracks him to an underground lair where they face off against the feral villain Vermin.
• Shift's Arrival: The battle takes a turn when Shift (a clone of Miles) intervenes to protect the "good" clones, while a shady character named Marv recruits more test subjects for a mysterious "beta test" of a video game known as the Arcadium.
