The Warlock Chronicles # 1 is a 1993 Marvel Comics issue that serves as a tie-in to the "Infinity Crusade" crossover event, primarily focusing on Adam Warlock's spiritual journey and his interactions with new characters while in a comatose state. 

The main story, "Things Past," written by Jim Starlin, follows Adam Warlock after he has been expelled to a distant dimension by the Goddess, the antagonist of the "Infinity Crusade" event. 

• Discovery: Warlock's unconscious body is found by a mystic named Darklore and his companion Meer'Lyn in a far-off dimension.
• Soul Gem's Revelation: While Warlock is comatose, the Soul Gem (an Infinity Gem/Stone) speaks to Darklore, recounting Warlock's history from his creation to his various deaths and rebirths. The Soul Gem attempts to take Darklore as its new host, as it struggles to bind Warlock's soul to itself.
• Reawakening and the Reality Rift: Warlock awakens and reclaims his gem. Darklore then shows him a developing hole in reality, which Warlock recognizes as a rupture that could only be caused by the Reality Gem.
• New Quest: Warlock realizes the Reality Gem's guardian must be trapped in the rift and that the rupture threatens all realities. He enters the rift to undo the harm, rescue the guardian, and find his way home, leaving Darklore and Meer'Lyn behind.
