Timeless # 1 2024 NM

Timeless # 1 (officially released December 27, 2023, and prominently featured in January 2024 reviews) is a special year-end one-shot that serves as a preview of major Marvel events for 2024. It focuses on a devastating future where all of time and space are threatened by a new, ancient evil. 

The issue presents a final showdown at the end of time between two iconic characters in new, immensely powerful forms: 

• Power Man (Luke Cage): The last living superhero in the Marvel Universe. This version of Luke Cage is centuries old and has survived by absorbing the powers of the Sentry, the Hulk, and the Iron Fist.
• Moon Knight Unending: An "ancient evil" that has risen to dominate the Earth. This nightmare version of Khonshu's avatar is a fusion of StarkTech, the Eternal Machine, and the God of the Moon. 

The story culminates in an explosive battle between the two on the moon. At the end of the issue, the force of their conflict throws this future version of Power Man back in time to the present-day Marvel Universe, setting the stage for his own 2025 solo series, Power Man: Timeless. 

In typical Timeless fashion, the book is interspersed with "visions" or memories that hint at upcoming 2024 storylines for major characters, including: 

• New guises and costumes for Spider-Man and Black Panther.
• Portents regarding the Avengers and the broader "From the Ashes" X-Men relaunch.
