Valor # 1 1992 NM-

Valor # 1, released in November 1992, launched an ongoing series focused on Lar Gand (formerly known as Mon-El) following the events of the "Eclipso: The Darkness Within" crossover event. Set in the 20th century before Lar Gand travels to the 30th century to inspire the Legion of Super-Heroes, the series explores his journey discovering the extent of his massive powers. 

"Endgame" 

The story serves as an aftermath tie-in to the Eclipso event. 

• Psychological Struggle: Lar Gand is haunted by his recent possession and manipulation by Eclipso. He visits a psychiatrist to process these emotions, unaware that she is a monitored employee of Lex Luthor II.
• The Conflict: Still feeling the threat is not over, Valor travels to the hidden "Lunar City" in South America. He battles hordes of "evoked" Eclipsos and foils a plan to destroy the moon using a solar bomb, which would have blanketed Earth in eternal darkness.
• The Cliffhanger: Having developed a keen interest in Valor's immense potential, Lex Luthor assigns Supergirl (Matrix) to find him and bring him back to Metropolis. 
• Valor (Lar Gand): The Daxamite protagonist with powers comparable to Superman, attempting to establish his own heroic identity.
• Lex Luthor II: A major manipulator in the background who views Valor as a potential asset.
• Supergirl (Matrix): Dispatched by Luthor to track Valor down.
• Creative Team: Written by Robert Loren Fleming with pencils by M.D. Bright and inks by Al Gordon.
