Wolverine # 25 Jim Lee 1990 VF/NM

Wolverine # 25 (volume 2), published in June 1990, is a standalone story titled "Heir Aid!" that takes place in Madripoor. Written by Jo Duffy with art by John Buscema and a cover by Jim Lee, the issue sees Wolverine, as his "Patch" persona, fulfilling a debt by babysitting a crime lord's son during a gang war. 

• The Debt: Logan, operating as the one-eyed enforcer "Patch" in the lawless island nation of Madripoor, is called upon by a local crime boss named Mr. Morrow to repay an old favor from their time in Tehran.
• Babysitting Duty: To Logan's surprise, the favor is not an assassination or a fight, but to protect Morrow's young son, Gabriel, while Morrow and his men engage in a final, decisive turf war against a rival gangster named Piggot.
• The Bedtime Story: While watching over a scared Gabriel, who cannot sleep, Logan finds himself an unlikely storyteller. He tells the boy a story about a young, "cowardly" boy who was exiled from his people in the Canadian wilderness and adopted by a pack of wolverines. The boy learns to survive, hunt, and fight from the animals, eventually saving them from human trappers.
• Ambush and Resolution: As Logan finishes the story, Piggot's men infiltrate the house. Logan single-handedly dispatches several assassins. When Morrow and his remaining men retreat to the house, a full-blown battle erupts. Gabriel, in a moment of bravery, saves his father from Piggot's sword. The police eventually arrive, but no arrests are made, and the standoff ends in a stalemate.
• Aftermath: Logan considers his debt to Morrow cleared. He leaves the scene, reflecting that Gabriel has the makings of a tough ruler for the Wharfside area, a new generation ready to take charge.
