Abattoir Six #1 is a post-apocalyptic action/horror comic book published by Iron Age Comics through Massive Publishing. Often described as a blend of Escape from New York and 30 Days of Night set in a Mad Max-style future, the story follows a group of human prisoners attempting to escape a massive, high-security complex where they are being raised as livestock for reigning vampires. 

Plot and Setting

The series is set eighty-eight years after a plague decimated humanity, leaving the survivors as a food source for vampires who face an extreme famine. 

• The Catalyst: The story begins when an elderly human is captured in the ruins of Manhattan and brought to Abattoir 6, the largest blood farm in North America.
• The Conflict: His arrival inspires four captive-bred humans to plot an escape from the Alcatraz-sized facility while being hunted by monstrous predators.
