• The Still Point: Wally West is transported into an interdimensional pocket called the Still Point. Here, he reunites with a "spirit" version of Barry Allen, who exists as trapped consciousness bound to "pure red energy".
• The Nature of the Flash: Barry explains that many "Flashes" from different worlds have tried to access the Still Point, but most were destroyed, leaving only their memories behind. Wally is unique because he is "still alive" and corporeal despite his connection to the energy.
• Eobard Thawne's Origin: Barry reveals that Jay Garrick and Eobard Thawne also reached this realm. While Garrick resisted its corrupting pull and died, Thawne succumbed to a dark vortex, transforming into the monstrous creature currently attacking the physical world.
• Battle at Fort Fox: In the physical world, the Rogues (led by Captain Cold) and Rudy West fight to hold off the monstrous Thawne. Lisa Snart (Glider) takes a central role, sacrificing her prosthetic legs and pushing her thermal powers to their limit to help reopen the portal.
• The Cliffhanger: The issue concludes with Wally emerging from the portal at Fort Fox, empowered and ready to face Thawne, declaring, "I've seen what you are, and I'm done running".
