Plot Summary: The Year One Finale 

• The Final Battle: Wally West faces off against a mutated, monstrous Eobard Thawne, who has returned from the Still Point (the Absolute Universe's version of the Speed Force) as a corrupted beast.
• The Ultimate Sacrifice: Just as Wally and his father, Rudy West, are finally beginning to reconcile, Rudy makes a devastating choice. To save his son and the world, Rudy lures the monstrous Thawne back into the Still Point, sacrificing himself to seal the portal from the other side.
• The Aftermath: Wally is left emotionally shattered. He tries to force the Rogues to reopen the portal to save his father, but they refuse due to the extreme risks involved. The issue ends with Wally in a state of isolation and grief, vowing to keep running until he finds a way to bring his father back.
• Grodd's Evolution: In a significant subplot, Absolute Grodd is reunited with his father. However, the elder ape—scarred by years of human experimentation—convinces Grodd that all humans are evil, setting up a potential future conflict between the two former allies.
