Absolute Superman # 18 Cover A First Printing 2026 BN

Absolute Superman #18 is the start of a major new story arc titled "Reign of the Superman," scheduled for release on April 1, 2026. This issue is particularly significant as it introduces two major Absolute Universe reinventions and a new primary antagonist. 

Story Arc: "Reign of the Superman" 

Following the "Battle of Kansas," the Lazarus Corporation has retreated, but they have left behind dangerous weapons and secrets. 

• The Sarcophagus: Superman discovers a hidden cache containing the sarcophagus of the legendary King Shazam.
• King Shazam / Black Adam: This version of King Shazam is confirmed to be a new interpretation of Black Adam (Teth-Adam), who is set to "change the hierarchy of power" in the Absolute Universe.
• The Omega Men: The mysterious Omega Men are also in pursuit of Superman, attempting to convince him to unleash his full, "terrifying" power to permanently dismantle the Lazarus Corporation.
