Plot & Core Developments

The issue moves away from Superman’s point of view to establish his growing status as a legendary "folk hero" through the eyes of the people he has saved. 

• Lois Lane’s Mission: Reimagined as a hardened field agent for Lazarus Corp, Lois interviews survivors across the globe—from Brazil to Pakistan—to find Superman. She begins to question her duty as she realizes those she interviews see Superman as a symbol of hope and rage against her employers.
• Introduction of the Omega Men: A new rebel faction known as the Omega Men is introduced as a violent alternative to Lazarus Corp.
• Jimmy Olsen Reveal: A major twist reveals that Jimmy Olsen is a member of the Omega Men, operating under the codename "Alpha". He attempts to convince Lois that she is on the wrong side of history.
• Clash in Orangi Town: The three factions—Lazarus Peacemakers, the Omega Men, and Superman—eventually clash in Pakistan. Superman intervenes to stop the violence, specifically warning Lois to stop tracking him before using his freeze breath to subdue the Peacemakers.
• The Peacemaker's Fall: The issue ends with a dark spotlight on Christopher Smith (Peacemaker), who suffers a mental breakdown and accidentally murders a village of civilians in a fit of rage.
