Aquaman: Air Jaws Allies # 1 2025 NM

Aquaman: Air Jaws Allies # 1, released in July 2025, is a special promotional comic created by DC Comics in collaboration with the Discovery Channel for their annual "Shark Week" event. 

• Release Dates: It was initially a free digital release on DC Universe Infinite on July 2, 2025. A limited-edition physical version was later distributed to comic shops in mid-July 2025.
• Availability: A highly sought-after San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2025 exclusive variant cover was also produced.
• Creative Team: Written by Dave Wielgosz, with art (pencils, inks, and cover) by Pablo M. Collar. 

The 24-page full-color comic blends superhero action with real-world marine biology themes. The plot focuses on a high-stakes conflict between Aquaman and his half-brother, the Ocean Master (Orm Marius). 

• The Conflict: The brothers battle over the Wave Waker, an Atlantean craft.
• The Setting: The fight moves to Mossel Bay, South Africa, a real-world location famous for its great white shark population and their dramatic "air jaws" hunting technique (breaching the water to catch seals).
• The Allies: An injured Aquaman is rescued by a team of Discovery Channel shark researchers. To survive Orm's relentless pursuit, Aquaman must then rely on the local great white sharks as his unexpected allies.
