Avengers West Coast # 85 released in August 1992, is a key Copper Age issue featuring a guest appearance by Spider-Man and the introduction of a new villainous group. 

• Plot Overview: The West Coast Avengers are assigned to protect Michael Galvan, a presidential candidate for the Libertarian Party, during a rally at the LA Convention Center. A power outage caused by a trio of villains leads to a confrontation with a mysterious figure in the shadows, who is revealed to be Spider-Man.
• Key Conflict: The Avengers and Spider-Man battle Deathweb, a new spider-themed team of villains. The battle ends when a member of Deathweb takes Spider-Woman’s daughter, Rachel, hostage to facilitate their escape.
