B.P.R.D. The Warning # 1 2008 VF/NM

B.P.R.D. The Warning # 1 released on July 9, 2008, is the debut of a five-issue miniseries that initiates the "Scorched Earth" trilogy, a pivotal arc that begins the global apocalypse storyline within the Hellboy universe. 

Following immediately after the events of B.P.R.D.: Killing Ground, the team is in a heightened state of alert. 

• Liz Sherman's Visions: The issue centers on the team's rush to track down a mysterious gentleman, identified as Memnan Saa (also known as Martin Gilfryd), who has been appearing in Liz Sherman's psychic visions.
• A Clue from the Past: Panya, the ageless mummy who recently joined the team, uses her psychic gifts during a seance with Johann Kraus to glean a crucial clue from Lobster Johnson's residual energy: "GILFRYD".
• The Gathering Storm: As the B.P.R.D. closes in on Memnan Saa's location, they find themselves menaced from all sides by a catastrophic escalation of old enemies, including frog creatures, the Black Flame, and the last remnants of Hyperborea's ancient denizens.
• High Stakes: The issue sets a tone of impending Armageddon, where the B.P.R.D. agents must decide if rescuing one teammate (Liz) is worth risking the fate of the entire world.
