Batman # 141 Glitch Foil Variant 2024 NM-

Batman # 141 published in January 2024, is the action-packed conclusion to the "Mindbomb" story arc, written by Chip Zdarsky and featuring art by Jorge Jiménez. The issue focuses on a brutal, relentless chase and battle between Batman and his ultimate foe: the Failsafe android, now inhabited by his own ruthless backup personality, the Batman of Zur-En-Arrh. 

The main story is an intense, non-stop action sequence that pushes Batman to his absolute limits. 

• The Unstoppable Foe: Failsafe, already one of the few enemies Batman was never able to defeat, is now augmented by the cunning, evil mind of Zur-En-Arrh. This combination creates a seemingly unstoppable force that predicts and counters all of Batman's strategies.
• A Desperate Chase: Cut off from his allies, Batman is on the run, using every piece of available technology and even improvised weapons (like bombs designed for Killer Moth) to slow Failsafe down in a snowy, wooded area outside of Gotham.
• The Goal: Zur-En-Arrh's plan is to convince Bruce Wayne to retire, allowing the more brutal, uncompromising Zur-En-Arrh persona to take over the mantle of Batman permanently.
• Defeat and Captivity: Ultimately, Batman is beaten to a pulp by Failsafe's overwhelming strength and tactical mind. He wakes up imprisoned in a cell next to an unexpected and heavily injured cellmate: The Joker. The Joker hints that he knows the secret of Zur-En-Arrh. 

Backup Story 

The backup story, drawn by Dustin Nguyen, delves further into the Zur-En-Arrh persona. It shows the main Zur-En-Arrh from Bruce's mind communicating with other multiverse versions of himself as he prepares to upload all of their personalities into the Failsafe body, consolidating their power. 

The issue sets up the subsequent "Joker: Year One" storyline, which explores the Joker's early interactions with the concept of Zur-En-Arrh.
