Plot Synopsis

  • The Unlikely Alliance: Batman frees Damian Wayne from Hush's grasp using a swarm of bats. Following this, Damian forms a tense and uneasy partnership with Bane to assist his father, despite Bane being the one who killed Alfred Pennyworth.
  • Batman vs. Batgirl: The issue features a major physical confrontation between Batman and Barbara Gordon (Batgirl). After Batman is caught in an explosion set by Hush, Batgirl confronts him about his controversial decision to save the Joker's life, leading to a fight that is eventually interrupted by the rest of the Bat-family.
  • Hush's Mind Games: Batman discovers an abandoned warehouse containing a giant game board of Gotham City, where his allies and family members are represented as cardboard game pieces, signifying Hush's control over the current events.
  • Nightwing & Red Hood: Meanwhile, at the Gotham lighthouse, Nightwing and Red Hood are forced to dive into the harbor to escape being shot by the Joker.
