Batman Detective Comics: Futures End # 1 3D Lenticular Cover 2014 NM

 is a 2014 one-shot comic that reimagines Batman's mission five years into a potential future as part of DC's New 52: Futures End event. 

The story centers on an unlikely alliance between a futuristic, more extreme Batman and the Riddler to stop a crisis at Arkham Island: 

• The Threat: Calendar Man (Julian Day) has taken over Arkham Asylum and is threatening to cause a massive blackout across Gotham City.
• The Partnership: Because the Riddler originally helped design Arkham's high-tech security systems, Batman enlists him to bypass the defenses.
• The Betrayal: In a major twist, Batman reveals he only used the Riddler as bait. He hand-delivers Nygma to Calendar Man, who blames the Riddler for the loss of his family during a previous blackout years earlier. Batman leaves the Riddler to be dealt with by the vengeful inmates.
