Batman: Prelude to the Wedding # 1 2018 NM-

Batman: Prelude to the Wedding # 1 2018 (Part One), titled Robin vs. Ra's Al Ghul, is the first installment in a five-part series of one-shots leading up to the wedding of Batman and Catwoman. Written by Tim Seeley with art by Brad Walker, the issue centers on Damian Wayne as he navigates the upcoming nuptials and a sudden confrontation with his grandfather, Ra's al Ghul. 

• Bonding with Selina: The story begins with Selina Kyle taking Damian shopping for his wedding attire. They focus on authentic Arab clothing, specifically a thobe, and the issue explores the awkward but authentic dynamic between Damian and his future stepmother.
• The Conflict: Ra's al Ghul returns to Gotham after learning of the impending marriage. He views Bruce Wayne’s decision to marry Catwoman as a betrayal of his daughter, Talia al Ghul. Ra's attempts to recruit Damian as the true heir to his criminal empire, questioning if Damian will honor his mother's legacy.
• The Test: While Damian is trying on clothes, he is seemingly tranquilized or taken hostage, leading to a hallucination or mental test orchestrated by Ra's. This includes a physical and mental battle where Ra's plants seeds of doubt in Damian's mind regarding his place in the Bat-family.
• New Characters: The issue introduces a mysterious new figure named Aion, who serves as a foil for Damian and represents a potential future for the Batman legacy. 

The Preludes to the Wedding series follows various members of the Bat-family as they defend the upcoming ceremony from villains attempting to sabotage it. Part One is followed by:
