Battleworld # 1 Foil Variant 2025 NM

Battleworld # 1 September 24, 2025 is the first issue of a five-part Marvel limited series written by Christos Gage with art by Marcus To. This series revives the concept of a patchwork multiversal planet as a spiritual successor to both the original 1984 Secret Wars and the 2015 event. 

• A New Architect: Unlike previous iterations created by the Beyonder or Doctor Doom, this Battleworld is revealed to be the work of Michael Korvac.
• The Mission: Korvac pulls fragments from various timelines to create one "perfect" timeline, forcing heroes and villains to fight for their reality's survival. The issue opens with the directive: "Slay your enemies, prove your worth and all you desire shall be yours in the world to come!".
• The Patchwork Team: The story follows a ragtag group of multiversal variants, led by an older Hank Pym. Key characters include:
• Spider-Man: A very young, inexperienced Peter Parker still reeling from Uncle Ben's death.
• Maestro: The ruthless, future version of the Hulk.
• King Thor: An All-Father Thor from a dead future Earth.
• Carol Danvers: A newly sober version from the "Warbird" era.
• Others: Bucky Barnes (WWII era), the original Starbrand, Kushala the Spirit Rider, and a fugitive Luke Cage. 

• Setting: The heroes initially gather and clash in a chaotic version of Central Park.
• Themes: The book explores themes of atonement and overcoming past tragedies, as many selected heroes were chosen for their perceived "mistakes".
